the new discovery  has been  named SARASWATI -which means-'ever-flowing stream with pools'

The first supercluster of galaxies, the Shapley Supercluster, was discovered in 1989, and the      second, the Sloan Great Wall in 2003. The Milky Way galaxy is part of the Laniakea Supercluster,  which was discovered in 2014.

The super cluster spans over 650 million light year in its expanse containing  over 10,000 (/approximate 10,00000) galaxies in 42 cluster .

The supercluster was discovered by Shishir Sankhyayan, a PhD student at the Indian Institute     of   Science Education and Research (IISER), Pune, Pratik Dabhade, IUCAA research fellow, Joe Jacob of the Newman College, Kerala, and Prakash Sarkar of the National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur.

its total mass=20 million billion suns.
the team of astronomers was led by JOYDEEP BAGCHI of astronomers and astrophyiscs (IUCAA),Pune ,which used data from the solon digtal sky survey.
